After 20 years as the lead vocalist for Santana, Tony Lindsay has garnered 11 Grammy awards, traveled on several world tours and recorded on seven CDs: Milagro (1992), Supernatural (1999), Shaman (2002), Ceremony (2003) and Food for Thought (2004), Ultimate Santana (2007) and Multi-Dimensional Warrior (2008). Their current tour involves Santana's First Rock Residency: an exclusive two-year deal for 36 shows with AEG at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's concert hall "The Joint," which began May 27, 2009. When not on tour with Santana, Lindsay performs at various local venues and festivals and in between tours he is currently recording his fourth Solo CD.

Fred Ross
Fred Ross
A native of San Francisco, Fred has been singing professionally since the age of 16. Some of his vocal accomplishments include: The Martin Luther King Story (made for TV), The Stuart Little Movie, TV and radio ads for BMW., Dole, and several dot-com companies. Fred has sung the National Anthem for the Associated Press, the Presidio Memorial Day Celebration (yearly), the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco 49’ers, and San Francisco Giants (Barry Bonds 600th home run at SBC Park), and Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

For fourteen years, The Fred Ross Project could be heard regularly at The Starlight Room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco, as well as throughout the Bay Area. This band is composed of members from other Bay Area notable bands such as Boz Scaggs, Cold Blood, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Santana, & Tony, Toni, Tone.

Fred has toured the U.S. and Europe for the past Thriteen Years with legends of Funk Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, & Maceo Parker (formerly of the James Brown Band). One of the tours resulted in a CD, “Pee Wee Ellis: Live & Funky with Fred Wesley and Fred Ross.“

He has also recorded with Aretha Franklin, whose CD “A Rose is still A Rose “went gold”. Narada Michael Walden, members of Tower of Power, Santana, Frankie Beverley & Maze, Greg Rollie, Toto, Chaka Kahn and the Commodore’s are just some of the talents he has worked with. Most recently Fred can be found on two recordings by Tony Saunders, and Fred is on Boz Scaggs current released in 2015.

Fred has been toured the U.S. with “Everyday People” a Sly & The Family Stone Tribute band. The band includes former member Rustee Allen on Bass who was with Sly for six years. Prior to that Fred toured with another incarnation of Sly & The Family Stone which featured Rose Stone, Jerry Martini, Cynthia Robinson, & Greg Errico, all original members of the Family Stone band from the 60’s.

Fred has release two CD’s on Strokeland Records. The first is Fred’s solo CD “Dignity”. The second is“The Law According to Fred Ross” produced by Doc Kupka and Jeff Tamelier. Fred also sings the title track on Strokeland’s “Bumped Up To First Class”. Fred has also recorded with Strokeland Artists “Doctor Funk” and appears on their first CD “Prescription For Soul”.

Several years ago, Fred filled in for Larry Braggs for a week with Tower Of Power on the first leg of their European tour.

January 2017 Fred was the featured guest at a benefit with the Tommy Igoe band, for David Garibaldi and Marc Wageningen after they were struck by a train.

In March of 2017 Fred will be on a brief tour of the Pacific Northwest with Lydia Pense and Cold Blood. -Update- Fred will be appearing with Lydia Pense and Cold Blood on many of their up coming dates throughout 2017.

When not touring with Pee Wee Ellis, Fred can currently be seen around the Bay Area performing with his own bands “The Fred Ross Project” and “Everyday People”. Fred can also be seen performing with “The Soul Soldiers” headed by Tony Lindsay of Santana fame, “The Dick Bright Orchestra”, “Beaufunk”, “Vinyl” and Jeff Tamilier’s “Sunday Paper”, along with other bands throughout the Bay Area.
